War on "------"

I heard a quote once and i am sorry but i don't remember who said it. Any war on a verb is a war we can not win.

Think about it. Has the "War on Drugs" stopped or even slowed the amount of drugs that have flowed into the US since it has been started? Has the War on Terror stopped 'terror' from happening? How bout the war on poverty? global warming? you get my drift.

If our enemy is not something material or solid then it is impossible to fight it and have a definite victory. It ends up becoming an excuse to pass more legislation, and spend more money our government doesn't have because they are able to use the fear of the people to create a perceived need for such things.

Lets stop fighting Wars on "-----." and start being responsible and admitting that such policies do not help us arrive at the intended results.
